Here at Ultimate Performance we understand the search for that moment and the efforts required to achieve it. We understand the sacrifices and we also understand the journey. Sometimes that journey can be interrupted by injury and in 2011 we launched Ultimate Performance Medical to support our customers and help them in their recovery.
Using our 20 years of experience within the sports industry our team developed a range of high quality medical support and therapy products. Each product is thoroughly tested and tweaked to ensure it meets our high standards before reaching the market.
Since 2011 our range has been extensively expanded to include sports tapes, massage therapy, foot care and first aid supplies as well as increasing our already successful range of supports and hot/cold therapy products.
Our braces and supports are arranged by body part and you can now find supports for the arch, ankle, achilles tendon, shin, calf, knee, thigh, groin, wrist, thumb, elbow, back and shoulder. All our supports are graded by the level of support that they provide. From our Basic support level 1 to our Maximum support level 4 our supports and braces can help with the management of your injury depending on which stage your recovery is at.
Understanding our levels of support - we separate the range of supports into 4 levels to give a guideline on the level of support you can expect from the product:
- Level 1 - Basic: Excellent value for money providing support for minor strains and sprains.
- Level 2 - Moderate: A mild to moderate level of support for instabilities, strains and sprains.
- Level 3 – Pro: Provides maximum support for moderate to severe instabilities and sprains
- Level 4 - Maximum: Designed to brace and add stability for more severe ligament, tendon and cartilage injuries.
Depending on the injury you have sustained you may start with a higher level of support and as you recover wean down to a lighter level.
We also understand that every person’s body is different and so we have ensured that whilst we offer a selection that is specifically sized we also have some that are one size fits all. Our OSFA selection is fully adjustable so that you can tighten or loosen the fit to suit you. To make it even easier for you most of our supports are a bi-lateral fit and can be worn on either the left or the right side.
We are constantly on the lookout for new technologies as our range evolves and we can continue to offer market leading products to our consumers. Our most recent addition to our supports range is the new Compression Collection. Using a lightweight, advanced knitting technology our Ultimate Compression sleeves provide a high level of support whilst being thinner and softer than traditional neoprene or elastic styles. Whilst also being latex free these are ideal for those who are allergic to or simply dislike the bulk from neoprene materials. The compressive element also stimulates blood flow to the area which is a valuable recovery and rehabilitation tool after injury. The Advanced Ultimate Compression gives you the benefits of our compression range but with the added advantage of targeted support straps to mimic bio-mechanical function increasing the level of support and compression where you need it most.
Our Massage Therapy and Hot/Cold Therapy collections work alongside our supports as part of first aid and rehabilitation treatments. Designed to be used at home to reduce pain and relieve tension in the muscles, ligaments and tendons these products can not only aid in your recovery but also be used as part of your pre-workout warm up and post workout cool down.
